Inappropriate?Hi Rodrighez,
Those were all disabled earlier today when Christopher told us about them! Thank you though. Be sure to contact cli.gs and alturl.com about them, too. -
Inappropriate?Thank you Bjorn,
I noticed Christopher listed only 1 of the three links are currently circulating and this made me decide to write my above post.
cli.gs and alturl.com services have been used in the past days and I have informed them too, don't worry.
This @#$%^$ spammer & virus distributor will now find some other short url service to use for his virus distribution.... let us wait and see.
Have a good day! -
Inappropriate?Thanks Rodrighez!
Whenever we're told about abuse we go looking in our database for similar URLs or other URLs created by the same user, so that's how we caught the other two. :-) Indeed spammers and virus people suck. It's probably the most time consuming thing about running the service (between anti-abuse development and abuse handling time -- all time that could otherwise be spent making new features!)
Anyway; I really appreciate being told about the abusive URLs so we can turn them off as quickly as possible.
