Secret Showing up in url
Hello..I just started using Metamark and tried to shorten 2 urls. I added a secret but what good is that if the shortened url includes the secret?

Inappropriate?Hi Magz,
Indeed - that's how it works! I'll rename the option to "privacy code" in the next update to make it clearer what it does.
Here's from the help text:
Because they are so short, anyone can guess the Metamark urls. Indeed, the mathematically inclined will easily be able to figure out how the ids are allocated! For example a typical url would be http://xrl.us/jx.
If you want to a user from "guessing" your URL, you can add a "privacy code" to your url. If your code is "secret", the url would instead be http://xrl.us/jx-secret.
Then even if someone just randomly tries jx, it won't reveal the real url because it's missing the privacy code.
Of course if you are really concerned about who can see the page it should be password protected or possibly not even on the public internet at all! -
Inappropriate?I added another item to the todo list to change the 'you don't have the secret/privacy code' page so it will let you input it right there. Just still keep in mind that if you are linking to a publicly accessible page, the xrl.us is just a temporary roadblock anyway.
